Acoustic R&B/Soul, Jazz, Pop-Glomeration Duo Snowe v. Wade (We are Pro-Music) is the brainchild of Recording Artist, Traci Snowe & Keyboardist, Stacey Wade who discovered just how much they have in common after being introduced by a mutual friend after an Al Green concert Stacey was performing at in Atlanta, GA. Amongst these commonalities – a sincere love for Stevie Wonder, who inspired both their careers, in addition to Sparks, rice & beans, burning sage, getting unapologetically crunk in public to all things hip-hop, like two high-schoolers and watching random documentaries to wind down. Snowe v. Wade is about good music that makes you feel good and takes you back to why you love music in the first place. It’s about two people from the same tribe, separated at birth, finding each other in the midst of a musical wasteland and saying, “Let’s play.” (Okay, that may be a touch dramatic, but that’s how we feel.)
Snowe v. Wade started gigging together in Nashville sitting in on other artists session’s just for the fun of it covering tunes by Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, R. Kelly and the Isley Brothers. They started feeling the love and realizing people appreciated what they were doing – which encouraged them to dig deeper. In February 2013, they were invited to open for Atlanta-based Soul Singer Anthony David.
What’s next for the dynamic duo? Ultimately, they are both working toward their dream of sharing the stage with hero Stevie Wonder, but until then you can expect to hear some great acoustic & electro soul originals getting pumped out in addition to their cover vibe. Look for them to be opening for well-respected artists, hitting the festival circuit and coming to clubs and dives near you!
